Dioxins belong to a group of compounds that are environmental pollutants and found all over the world. They are known to be incorporated in biological food chains and in the fat filled tissues of the body. Dioxins are known to enter the body through fish, meat and other animal products. They are extremely toxic compounds and are known to impair reproduction and cause developmental disorders. They also affect the immunity of the body and cause hormonal imbalance leading to deadly diseases such as cancer.
