This investigation concerns learning more about superfund sites in designated areas in and around NYC. Your lecture final project is due the end of the day on Thursday, May 7th. You must submit your assignment electronically on Blackboard before the due date. You may work in groups of two or individually. If you work in groups of two, include both group members’ names on the assignment. You will hand in one assignment per group, and you will receive the same grade.
Your assignment should be 10 pages (including title page and bibliography), Times New Roman font, 12 point, double spaced sentences. Your assignment should include photographs and images of your superfund site. The images should not be any larger than two inches in height. About like this:
Your graphs and tables, however, should be large enough to be legible.
Be sure to use correct in-text citation protocol and references, including citation of images you get off of the internet. APA style is preferred. Please include a title page and a reference page in addition to the eight pages. You must include at least one citation from a peer-reviewed journal article.
Each paper must be handed in using Safe Assign on Blackboard. Safe Assign is a program that checks for plagiarism. If you plagiarize, or use excessive quotations, you will be asked to re-write the paper and will lose 20% from your final assignment grade.
Go to Google Earth, Google Maps, or MapQuest to locate the superfund site that you are interested in investigating. Some suggestions are provided below; however, you are not limited to these sites.
