A Research Narrative is as it sounds; An essay of research that you’ve conducted, formatted in a narrative style. It combines the linear story structure of a classic narrative and journalistic research to create the plot points. For this prompt, you should pick a topic that interests you or has grabbed your attention recently. Consider your initial feelings/assumptions about said topic, even if those feelings are that you’ve never heard about the topic until this assignment. Then, research the topic, everything from online research to conducting interviews. Finally, describe and recount your findings to the audience as a story. This paper doesn’t need an argument (You don’t have to take a side and defend it), but it does need a thesis statement.
