I need to – use reflective approaches and evaluate the effectiveness of leadership, management and governance at my place of work. 2500 words

Reflect on my professional role within my organisational structure, considering the impact on learners, colleagues and the organisation as a whole.

Using the reflections I have just spoken about justify my future development needs.

1 – Introduction – what is reflection and reflective practice, why is it important whats the difference

2- Personal reflections on my significant professional learning experiences. – Child having a seizure – new child started with epilepsy , before he started i went on a course in how to deal with seizures with his mother who also taught me – then passed on to other staff members

3- Reflect on my role within my work setting – Strong staff member , train up all the apprentices and students , strong bonds with parents and children especially own key children.

4- Reflections on the leadership/management in my work setting – effectiveness towards staff – positives and negatives I feel they management could be more professional to others as my manager is more of a friend to us then a manager , she needs to find balance of this with her staff , sometimes I could deal with situations more professionally with other staff. Never had a complaint from a parent. As a room senior I make my team communicate well, delegate fairly and tend to all individual needs. My team is definitely the strongest team in the nursery –  never had a complaint

5- summary – future plans – PGCE or social worker. If PGCE secondary teaching as I’m getting bored of early years will have to do extra year to specialise is subject – pros and cons because pgce I will not be earning a full time income as it’s placement based
