Millions of people are afflicted with neurological or hormonal conditions, yet the brain is still
largely an unexplored poorly understood frontier. For this assignment, due on the day/time listed
in the syllabus, I would like you to inform yourself about a brain or hormonal disorder by
reading out it in the sources and then briefly summarize that information with APA-formatted
citations in a SHORT essay. In your essay, you will give basic facts about the disorder, its
causes (if known), its symptoms, and lifetime prevalence rate. Tell us which parts of the brain or
body are affected by this disorder and how. Finally, describe in detail the most common
treatments are and how effective they are and what treatment you think is best.
Your essay should have three sections/ paragraphs:
1st section: Describe the disorder and its main physical and psychological symptoms.
Make sure you include important vocabulary, such as what neurotransmitters/ parts of the
brain/ hormones are affected. Include the lifetime prevalence rate of the disorder and its
causes.
2nd section: Describe the main treatments for the disorder and tell us how effective they
