Polytechnic Institute Running a Java Code Program Java Programming Task Code: https://pastebin.com/rBazjG0A
I am attaching a link of pastebin code. The code is 400+ lines. You JUST need to chose A MINIMUM OF 100 lines upto 120 and comment on them.
DONT chose random lines and comment on them.
Chose a WHOLE SET of 100 lines of code minimum.
DONT comment side by side with the line of code.
Comments should be made after a block of code in the form of a MINI PARAGRAPH.
DONT write comments like “making a project p and adding its value to array” etc please.
Requirement of comments:
Number of words for comments: 1000
Should be written in paragraph form after a set of block
Instead of writing it in a low functional level. Write them detailed including:
– what was the intent of programmer
-what was the purpose of code
-why the programmer used this method and how.
Write cohesive comments.
Steps:
1. Chose the 100-120 line code
2. Copy and paste it into MS WORD document.
3. Write comments after each block of code.
*ACTUAL ASSIGNMENT QUESTION IS BELOW*
The aim of this assignment is to allow you to demonstrate your ability to read and comprehend code. You will be presented with a number of pieces of Java code, out of which you are to select approximately 100 lines to which you will add comments explaining what the code is aiming to do. You should select a complete section of code (i.e. a whole method or two), rather than scattering comments over 100 random lines.
Note that some files may be open when you look at the code, but you should look in all directories and read over the code before selecting which section you wish to work on.
The code you will see is not overly complicated, but is, in places, more advanced that what we see in this subject. Being able to deal with new classes and libraries, however, is very important – we can’t expect others to only use what we know!
Your comments will be marked against how well they demonstrate understanding of the program, both at the basic functional level, and at the higher level of the intention of the programmer.
The marking will essentially be on the usual fail, pass, credit, distinction, high distinction scale, with a couple of extra points inserted to fill some gaps. The scale is as follows:
0 marks – no attempt or equivalent.
25 marks – some attempt made that shows basic understanding of isolated lines of code.
50 marks – variables and data structures have been correctly identified, along with basic line by line functionality.
65 marks – as above, plus block structures and their functionality have been largely correctly identified.
75 marks – as above, plus the intent of each block has been explained.
85 marks – as above, plus a high level understanding of the intent of the section is evident.
100 marks – as above, plus demonstration of understanding of what design choices may have been made in that section of the program and why (this may require examining the rest of the code as well).
Would be happy to tip for detailed and quality comments
Thank you.
