Organizing Persuasive Main Points Discussion Organizing Persuasive Main PointsThere is one component left when structuring your main points that we have not addressed: the internal preview. An internal preview is a list of your sub-points at the top of your main-points. That means you will have 3 internal previews: one at the start of your problems, at the start of your causes, and at the start of your solutions. Each main point should be divided into two (or three if absolutely necessary) sub-points. Dividing it into at least 2 subpoints will allow you to better remember the information (decreasing your chance of blanking!), and will break it down so that it will be easier for your audience to understand. For your discussion post this week, look back at your list of problems, causes, and solutions from the article on early school start times. How could you divide all of the problems into two overall sub-points? What could your sub-points be in the causes? The solutions? You may include what specific things you can talk about under each sub-point. Respond to at least one of your classmates regarding their sub-points. Compare and contrast your answers together. After seeing your classmate’s responses would you change your answers?
