Justify your response.The hypothesis testing is used to measure a test of a population mathematically. The population samples are tested to provide confirmation of the hypothesis. There are two ways the hypothesis is stated in the null hypothesis (no effect/occurred), and the alternative hypothesis (did not occur). This type of testing is extremely important since data collection on its own will not give you the entire picture. Without the evaluation process being performed a manager won’t be able to provide an objective opinion on the results which can lead to an invalid conclusion. For example, the quality rates between two different products being produced can vary, however it is difficult to determine which process is more efficient without hypothesis testing. Examples include a company that has a 10% market share launches a marketing campaign. At the end of the campaign period the company conducts a survey in order to assess whether its market share has increased.The company I used is my small business. I used such a test that allowed me to see which marketing campaigns were beneficial to the business and which campaigns maximize my marketing dollars. The surveys were conducted by new customers verses old customers and the results were surprising! The new customers contacted provided interesting feedback. They stated that if they were not marketed to then they would have never known about my company. My old customers took part in the promotional prices offered only if they continue the services with the company the following year. Without this test, I would not have gained new customers outside previous target markets. I will consider other marketing campaigns in the future to grow the business.
