legal problem-solving skills

Format
This take-home exam comprises five questions that are based on the two written assignments you attempted this semester.
You should familiarise yourself with the facts and materials of each of those assessments. Further facts will be provided in the exam.
You will apply the legal problem-solving skills that you learned in the written assessments and tutorials. To this end, you can use an IRAC approach to answer the questions. But the focus of the exam will be on application, analysis and providing succinct responses, rather than reciting law. The word limits will not permit you to indiscriminately regurgitate principles copied and pasted from elsewhere.
You must answer all questions.
This is an open book examination.
Scope of topics and legal authorities
See following section containing the list of examinable topics and permitted authorities.
You must rely only on the cases and legislation covered in lectures, tutorials, and the prescribed readings.
Do not cite other extraneous primary or secondary materials. Marks will not be awarded for citation of materials that have not formed part of this course.
This is not a research paper. You are not required to undertake any further study or research to answer this examination. You are required only to know and understand the materials provided in the readings, lectures, and tutorials.
