Larry Coffee Public Relations Plan Discussion Attached are documents named discussion 1a-1b, 2a-2b, 3a-3b, 4a-4b, etc. and an activity document to be used for 3 and 4. You can put them all on one document but label well. Posts should be 200 words and responses are 80 each. So a total of 1120ish words. Excellent job Latoy.
A phreaker is an individual who manipulates the phone network to cause it to perform a
function that is normally not allowed. A common goal of phreaking is breaking into the
phone network, usually through a pay phone, to make free long-distance calls.

Explain the hacker ethic and hacker manifesto: The hacker ethic is the moral values and
philosophies of a hacker, such as they believe in sharing, decentralization, and free access to
computers. The hacker manifesto is the conscience of the hacker, such as, will it bother the
hacker to write a trojan and spy on hundreds of other peoples computers.
Give your opinion as to why hackers do not consider themselves to be criminals: Even though hackers
think they are the reason that technology is as good as it is today is because of them, I believe
that the reason they don’t really think of themselves as criminals is because they have no
emotional feelings towards their crime. They don’t know the victim on the other computer so
they feel nothing for what crime they are committing. An example of this is a hacker shutting
down someones computer, they don’t know if it was an elderly person or a big business person
that they did this too, weather it was a male of female, so they have no emotional feeling
towards the other person.
Describe at least two ways in which organized crime uses social media sites for its benefits: One way
they use social media sites for their benefit is by uploading pictures of themselves with their
guns and weapons and money, to try and show others how cool and how much power they
have. Another way they use it is that social media is a valuable source of information. They can
use this information against a person, or find out about someone to kidnap a spouse or child.
Speculate on the measures that the government could take in order to combat cyber crimes perpetrated
through social media sites: They could work with other countries to get tougher on cyber crimes, if
a criminal lives here in the US, or in another country, they should be able to be prosecuted in
the country the crime is committed. They also need to teach more people about cyber crimes
and how to avoid being scammed. For example if more people knew what to look for in a
philshing email then they wouldn’t fall for the scam.

RE: Week 3 Discussion
The top three goals of an investigatory search is to gather
evidence to establish that a crime was committed and what
crime, identify who committed the crime and where the
crime has been committed . Evidence is important because
it re-creates the crime scene. Once the scene is secure,
organizing a search by dividing the duties can make the
search process run smoothly. Searches can include
patterns and types to assist in a methodological and proper
way to discover the evidence. When conducting searches,
do not contaminate or alter evidence because it can be
declared inadmissible in court. The term “elephant-in-a-
matchbox” refers to large objects that can not be concealed
in tiny areas. Meaning if the police is searching for a large
item as evidence, they can not search in smaller areas
for the large items. This would be considered a violation of
the Fourth Amendment right of reasonable search
and seizures.

Overall Rating:
For this discussion assignment, identify and discuss the top three goals of an
investigatory search. Next, discuss the “elephant-in-a-matchbox” doctrine and

requirements regarding reasonable searches and seizures. Provide a
rationale to support your response and respond to no less than one of your
peers.
Your initial post should be 150-200 words, and your classmate response
should be 50-75 words.
Your classmate response should be more than “I agree,” or “You’re right on
the money!” Tell us why you agree and try to offer an example or something
additional to keep the conversation moving.
Please post your initial response no later than 11:59pm on Thursday, July
23. Reply to at least one classmate no later than 9:00am on
Monday, July 27.

plan for a business you frequently patronize.
Identify a problem or opportunity facing that

business to address the problem or opportunity.
• Chapter 5, “Implementing Public Relations
Programs,” discusses a number of public relations
