Submit the website assigned by your instructor in the Graded Activities section of this lesson for a maximum of 20 points.

Your goal is to create a 3-page website that follows web convention.

Put this website in a folder (which then magically becomes your web directory)
Name that folder with your name and the lesson name.
Get ready to Zip that folder.
Do not open the folder to zip. Right click on the folder to zip and it will zip all that is inside.

Your website needs to have three pages. Let’s start by creating a web template that follows web conventions that you can then use to build your web assignments. You will use HTML5 semantic tags and page structure. Click inside the lecture folder or click one of the links above to learn about web convention.

You need to have the following types of links.

Linking-to-other-sites ( in Content section)
linking-to-other-pages (navigation on every page)
email-links (footer on every page)
opening-links-in-a-new-window (target=””)
linking-to-a-specific-part (in page links on the home page)
Use HTML 5 tags to create the following.
On Home page:
Use HTML heading tags to name the below sections.

Use HTML paragraph tag to which you will add content as described below. In this part of the assignment, I would like you to discuss web convention. In this case, we mean it in two ways:
The way (1) the web page (interface design) or site is structured and Web pages are laid out in a certain way and follow certain rules because these withstood the test of time (so to speak).
(2) the way HTML coding should be structured and displayed.
Paragraph 1 Heading

Content: Describe the HTML5 page structure and the free tools you can use to view it.
Paragraph 2 Heading

Content: Summarize what you learned in W3 website (except for coding convention). Do not copy verbatim. USE YOUR OWN Words.
Paragraph 3 Heading Web Convention
Content: Explain what web convention is and what we should be doing on our websites to be sure we are following web convention. Insert a live hyperlink of a site on the Internet that discusses web convention.
Summarize the main 24 points from HTML Style Guide and Coding Conventions (Hint: look at the header (not the title) for the topics)
