Congratulations! You have been given a lump sum of $2.5 million by a generous angel investor who is willing to support your business dreams and goals. While there is much to consider in regard to developing a strong business, one of the most important aspects of business development, from the investor’s point of view, is creating a diverse and inclusive organizational culture. In order to receive any of the funds, you are required to present a detailed paper to the angel investor (i.e., your instructor) that includes the following information:

Information about your company, with details about its mission, vision, values, and purpose. Remember that this information should reflect your organization’s commitment to diversity.
An overview of your definition of diversity and an explanation of how your definition encompasses diversity of thought, opinion, and values.
Details about how creating a culture of diversity will enhance your organization’s operations, productivity, and profitability.
Four well-developed workplace policies that promote diversity (e.g., demographic, cultural, thought, etc.).
A well-developed plan for how leaders and managers will address conflict related to diversity, which encompasses an explanation of how this plan uses effective conflict-management skills.

Submission Requirements

Write a 9- to 12-page paper, not including the title and reference pages, which are required.

OPTION #2: ORGANIZATION IN TROUBLE

The technology industry has struggled a great deal, throughout the years, in regard to diverse representation among employees. Many lists have been published that have noted some of these organizations that continue to struggle with diversity, thereby bringing light to an embarrassing and problematic issue. As an HR professional, you have been asked to consult for one of the companies listed in the article, “Big Tech Companies with Diversity Problems Get Named for Top Diversity.”

While you recognize that this lack of representation is a major concern, which is very embarrassing to these companies, you also know that you can make a difference in ensuring organizational diversity, if the organization is willing to apply your feedback and suggestions. For this assignment, include the following information:

Information about your selected company, which includes details about the organization’s mission, vision, values, and purpose.
An analysis of whether this information does or does not support/address diversity.
An overview of your definition of diversity and an explanation of how your definition encompasses diversity of thought, opinion, and values.
