Extra Credit Assignment: The History of our Infrastructure

Directions: Using the APA resources posted here and within the APA Folder on BlackBoard, write a 3-4 page typed essay (not counting the title page or references page) on the history of one of the following famous New York City landmarks. Submissions must include at least 4 correctly cited outside sources. Your essay should include the following:

Title page (with a centered heading including name, my name, class, date, and “extra credit assignment” at the top.
An introduction stating the general value of important landmarks to New Yorkers and visitors, and a thesis about the specific success of the landmark you selected (You will determine what makes it successful through your research)
A section describing the construction of the landmark you selected.
A section describing how that landmark is used today–be sure to discuss how it is used by both New Yorkers and visitors.
(Before moving on to a conclusion you have the freedom to choose whether or not you would like to create another section)
A conclusion stating your opinion of the future of the landmark you selected.
