Also, an answer to the followings 2 statements oft the same article: (each answer 150 words aprox)

1)The article, “Trying to find your passion? Find a decent job instead” was a well-written article but it lacked the fact that most inventors or entrepreneurs followed their dreams. As a society, people aren’t prepared for the jobs they hate or the jobs they love. It’s a learning experience and it also stems from our parents. If your parents teach you at a young age that hard work pays off, then that is true. However, if your parents ask you what you want, and they give it, then that parent is failing you because nothing comes free in the real world. People like Jeff Bezos, Henry Ford, Steve Jobs, and many other entrepreneurs and inventors followed their passions and understood you had to work for good things. All these great men had part time jobs and yet followed their passions. In conclusion, kids must be taught the value of hard work only then will they understand the meaning and value of work.

2) I agree with Barreca’s arguments, but not all of them. She said “We too often tell the impressionable young that if they’re passionate enough about a topic or activity, they’ll be recognized, eventually, for their talents. Yet this is not generally, or even often, the case in actual life “. In my opinion, I think she wanted to be realistic, but she seemed like a hopeless person. I believe that in our life we have to go from step to step. Certainly, we must encourage young people to follow what they want, because we know that during their career there will be ups and downs. In addition, I also believe that the way we were educated influences our choices. I came from a very humble family. I had many goals. However, my family taught me how difficult it would be to achieve, due to my financial and social class. But I never gave up.
I do agree, when she talks about passion. She said “during the last three decades or so, the term passion has become synonymous with the idea of enthusiasm and eagerness”, “Ambition is not passion”. I believe that we have put a different meaning on the word passion. In my opinion, when we want to achieve something we need to be persistent. It is through persistence that we achieve what we most desire.
