GMO’s and PCR Data can be found here: GMO-PCRgel1.PNG Results must include: Annotated gel figure with description (2 points) Each lane numbered, sample name, band size etc.  Table which describes the contents of each lane (standard ladder, positive/negative control vs experimental sample, primer used) (3 points)  Discussion Points (3 points each): Explain the purpose of positive and negative controls. How were they used in this experiment? Why did we use two different primers in this experiment? State your conclusion (GMO or non-GMO?) and discuss the data which led to that conclusion. Describe what the results would have looked like if the opposite conclusion was drawn. (That is, if your sample was a GMO, what would a non-GMO’s results look like? or vice versa.) This experiment is very similar to COVID-19 PCR tests. Compare and contrast this GMO PCR test with the COVID-19 PCR test. (Cite sources outside of the course material)
