Background information about me;
, this article resonated with me. I’ve been working at a company (Ford Motor Company) for over 12 years and every day before going in, I have to say a prayer to get me through the night. My job is a safety net for me. The pay is good, they provide great benefits, and they’re also paying my college tuition. The amount of time I’ve invested in this company makes it difficult to leave. I’m such a girly girl that loves fashion, I’m not sure how my career path led me to the automobile manufacturing industry. Factory life isn’t what I imagined. The working conditions reminds me of a prison (No, I’ve never been) There are no windows, there are rodents, and it’s dirty. The thought of escaping the prison of working for someone else and building a mini-empire is exciting yet frightening.
I am currently in the process of relaunching my online boutique which is why I thought this article was intresting. Please use this information provided just in your own words. You don’t have to use big words either. lol
I’ve also provided a leadership assessment assignment to give you more insight about me. Thanks I need this assignemtn to sound personal. Thank you. Leadership Self-Assessment

Personal Characteristics
After completing the leadership self-assessment assignment, I wasn’t too shocked by the
results. My overall score is 16/20. Since I can remember I’ve been told that I inspire and
motivate people. Coincidentally, I scored 10/10 on motivating people to deliver the Vision. I
have a motto that I live by and its, “I don’t see problems, I see opportunities.” Dwelling on
things that are beyond our control is irrelevant and it causes stress and hampers productivity. The
key is to maintain a positive attitude which allows me to have a unique mentality that handles
challenges differently.
I scored a 9/10 on self-confidence. I wasn’t born with self-confidence; I was molded
into a confident person from life learned experiences. According to the assessment, one of the
best ways to improve your confidence is to become aware of all things you’ve already achieved.
I believe this is true especially when you’re faced with rejection. It’s important to remember
previous goals that were accomplished or hard times you’ve endured and come out on top.
Unfortunately, I use to view rejection as a reflection of my sense of worth. Over the years I
learned that when one door closes another one opens. Today, I’m confident enough in myself to
know that I can do anything I put my mind to.
I scored 9/10 on a positive attitude and emotional Intelligence. As stated previously, “I
don’t see problems, I see opportunities.” Opportunities to learn, adjust, grow, or improve in a way that
helps me reach my full potential. By having a positive attitude, it reduces stress because the problem is
viewed as positive and is less intimidating. It also promotes growth. Having a positive mentality forces
adaption and improvement regularly.

I’ve previously asked myself is empathy my greatest strength or weakness? For some
reason, I develop relationships with selfish people and I always feel obligated to help them. I’ve
learned to set boundaries and no longer feel bad for saying NO! I’m able to stand my ground
when it’s clear to me that someone has no respect for me or my boundaries. Besides, I like to
consider myself a people watcher. I study the way people move, reactions, body language, and
more. This is probably why it’s easy for me to recognize other people’s feelings.
How might the knowledge/information gained from this assessment be helpful to you in your
current job or future job or entrepreneurial venture?
I understand that the key to motivating employees is hiring self-starting individuals like
myself that understand the challenges and potentials of working for a small business owner. It’s
important to express appreciation and acknowledge the contributions of the employees. My
current employer lacked this simple yet significant gesture. Due to new management and union
leaders, they’ve made a great attempt to show more appreciation which has increased employee
morale.
Self-confidence is crucial to have as a successful entrepreneur. I can recall worrying
about the ifs, ands, and buts about relaunching my online boutique. I didn’t want to promote my
business because I wasn’t sure people would like it and I didn’t want people to think I was
boasting. Fear and self-doubt are the biggest obstacles to face when starting a business.
Confident entrepreneurs, because of their self-efficacy, feel that they can succeed. This makes
them willing to try new things and take risks. Building self-confidence can be easily achieved by
celebrating small wins, using positive affirmations, using good posture, and acknowledging your
strength and weaknesses.

As I explore my entrepreneurial venture, I understand that displaying vulnerability isn’t a
sign of weakness but a sign that you’re human. I know there would be mistakes made along the
way and I’ll hold myself accountable. Some of the greatest leaders have earned trust through
vulnerability. I understand the learning process and know that growth is essential to becoming a
great entrepreneur.
