docudrama outline project

Using Lin Manuel Miranda’s In the Heights as a template, please create an outline, synopsis and mood-board for a docudrama play about your own neighborhood. What is your “heights?” Possible subjects could include your family, your friends, people in your neighborhood, church or work. Any characters, larger than life people in your community – however you choose to define that – these will be the characters in your play.
5 characters minimum, costume descriptions, setting/location, scene breakdown and rationale for choosing your topic.
at least 10 images (using Canva or another platform to create a digital presentation or poster) that represent the mood, location, lighting, emotions of the play.
Remember you are not actually writing the play, or the dialogue, you are providing an outline, synopsis and a mood-board for a hypothetical Docudrama called My Heights, in which you would interview and play all the characters. Think of this as pre-production work. Use your imagination and really use your words to make this idea come off the page. You might think of it as a pitch for a show you want to do.
