1. GENERAL INFORMATION
Given the importance of diversity issues in sport, this project is to ask students to closely
examine diversity issues in sport organizations. Based on the Rational Model (Robbins, 1990),
students provide possible diversity management strategies. The purpose of this assignment is to
provide a comprehensive understanding ofsport organizations that have diversity issues. Each group will
have to select a sport organization and determine diversity issues of that sport organization. By utilizing
literature and the theories from the textbook, each group will have to suggest the most appropriate solutions

Part 1- Description of the diversity issue in a sport organization.
Please provide an overall description of the sport organization you have chosen. You need to
include company overview, executive summary, mission statements, goals and objectives of
your sport organization. And then, provide a brief description of diversity issue you selected.
Part 2- Key points and Rationale
Describe the key points of a hot topic and the rationale why this topic is significant.
Part 3- Literature Review
1. Identify literature of a proposed solution to the topic of choice. Please provide multiple references
for the proposed solution. (e.g., journal articles, Internet sources)

Intercollegiate Sport (JIS).
Part 4- Identifying pros and cons of the proposed solution
Students will need to analyze literature reviews by identifying pros and cons of suggested
solutions that are mentioned by others (practitioners, scholars, and researchers).
Part 5- Final recommendations
Utilizing the knowledge (e.g., strategies, designs, structures, and leadership philosophies) discussed
within this course, present your final recommendations for resolving the problem/issue of interest.
Explain why this is the best course of action.
