You are asked to deliver a presentation for a professional practice audience e.g. conference or training and development day. You are presenting your critical response to the question; – Discuss how the NSW child protection system can hear the voices of children and young people at risk of harm. The word count is not that important as long as I speak 4-6 minutes and present at least three slides. Please use examples from any particular areas you are interested in e.g. Aboriginal children in OOHC, children with a disability in foster care, children in case conferences, young people and contact with their birth families, etc. Make sure you – Establish your critical view on the topic, this means making a basic claim/statement about the issue(s) that is/are significant – Develop an argument to support your claim using the evidence you have gathered – Articulate any conclusion(s) you have come to and/or recommendations for change that are needed or calls to action from your professional audience – Use a minimum of 3 slides – A minimum of 5 references is required with at least 3 peer-reviewed sources.
