Assignment 4a: Devotional I John 5:6-13 (Links to an external site.) (Links to an external site.) Islam teaches that, throughout history, God has sent prophets to preach that there is only one God, who desires people to pursue good and to prevent evil. These prophets include Adam, Noah, Jesus and ultimately Muhammad. To the Muslim, Christians and Jews have corrupted revelations of God that were restored by the Qur’an. Muslims believe in heaven, hell, angels, and the Day of Judgment. They also believe in the importance of good works, prayer, and fasting. Although they do not believe Jesus was divine, they do believe the accounts of his virgin birth, sinless nature, miracles, and second coming. The Islamic concept of “salvation” is obviously very different from Christianity because Muslims do not believe Jesus was divine and they do not believe in the resurrection or Jesus’ atonement for our sins. They also dispute many passages of the Christian Bible, undermining any claims of inspiration. Still, many people say that Christians, Jews, and Muslims worship the same God. What do you think? How important is it for someone to not only believe in God, but also in his Son, Jesus Christ? In approximately 100 words, post your response to the question above
