Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka (1954)

Brown V.S Board of Education this document talks about the segregation that people of color suffer when it comes to school education. Also, this talks about that the students of color were at a disadvantage by their assets that white students had in there school and people of color didn’t. Overall, all students should be given the same education advantage no matter their skin color. This document was created in 1954 and it was brought to the supreme court to overrule the outcome of this dispute in the education system.

During that time there was a rise in activism when it came from people of color to have equal rights. Also there was a fight for better tournaments from corporations for people of color as for example the Farmers Labor Union they want to get paid at a fair rate. There was also a rise in wealth in the middle class in America and there was a clear push round for people of color that they didn’t appreciate which contributed color people designers for better law to stop discrimination. When it comes to this information it does support the challenges that are mentioned in the powerpoint. This document with also the powerpoint really gives me a great picture on trying to understand the frustration people of color had to go through during these times just as simply as having a proper education was a struggle .

I don’t believe that there was no bias due to the fact that they were providing facts to support their argument to the supreme court. Although you can say it was biased because they were standing for the rights of people of color, the supreme court didn’t because they have to base their vote by legal reasoning. Well this source contributes to our understanding of history to be grateful for the fight that people had to go through for people of color to have a well off education. Overall, this document shows the consistent fight that people of color have to go though back then and to present times.
