Students are required to produce a 1,000 to 1,250-word (four to five-page, double-spaced) summary and critique of their choice of one of the five articles listed below, all published in the Canadian Journal of Political Science last year. Papers must include citations formatted using The Chicago Manual of Style, 17th Edition (either author-date or notes-bibliography style) and include a word count. Your assignment must include a clear thesis statement about the strengths and weaknesses of the article you have chosen. Developing an analysis that supports that thesis should be the focus of the paper. You are also required to include a brief summary of the article, including discussion of the question, argument, research methods, and findings. There is no requirement that additional sources be used. Of course, if outside sources are consulted, they must be cited.
