Creative Essay

Description

Imagine Dan Pink, Charles Duhigg, and David Graeber met for lunch one day. You were there to take notes and chime in from time to time. What do you think they would have discussed at their lunch? You can write an essay, or you can write a dialogue (much like a script, but you don’t need to worry about the format of the script), or you can simply write a set of meeting minutes (and these do not have to be formal either). You can be as creative as you’d like. Or, you can simply write up a summary of what you think the three authors would discuss. Either way, this is your chance to show off what you learned and to be creative.  Things to consider: Intrinsic motivation, autonomy, mastery, purpose, flow, habit loops (cues, routines, rewards), keystone habits, flunkies, goons, duct tapers, box tickers, and taskmasters. I am not looking for this to be like the other two essays. This is your chance to have some fun and combine your knowledge of the three books into a creative exercise.  Assignment Type: Creative (Have some fun. The only thing I want you to be mindful of is your style and fluency. Use paragraphs when you need to, and proofread your work. Trn in something that has been drafted and polished) Audience: Students NOT enrolled in this class. Topic: Drive, The Power of Habit and Bullshot Jobs Grading: This project is worth 100 points.
