Purpose of this Assignment: The purpose of this essay is to explain the similarities and differences of
two subjects in order to 1.) make either or both of them clear and 2.) to evaluate their

visits total). This includes the Compare & Contrast Essay. You must provide proof of your Writing Center visit in
order to receive your final grade for each essay. You are required to visit the Writing Center once, but feel free
to schedule as many meetings with them as youd like. The more you go, the more your essays will improve.
All proofreading of essays should be referred to the Writing Center; I will not proofread, edit, or write
comments on your papers before they are due. Do not email me a copy of your essay for revision.
