NY Times – Coronavirus Deaths

This graph shows the number of death that have been caused by the coronavirus. It includes deaths by countries around the globe that have been affected by this pandemic. This is specific to countries that have had at least 25 deaths caused by the coronavirus. As a reader scrolls over each gray line they can search for a specific country and assess the deaths compared to all others. This image highlights those countries that have seen the greatest number of deaths in order to act as a quick reference for those who may need it. This graph is a visual representation of corona virus numbers as reported by each country. The data does not seem to be skewed in such a way to mislead a reader. Though the data may be misrepresenting actual deaths from the coronavirus simply because there is an error in reporting, purposeful or not. This graph is updated daily as the death toll related to coronavirus rises each day. The only way to ensure that this graph was more accurately representing the overall death toll for each country would be to somehow ensure that the countries were accurately reporting the numbers.
