The question you should be able to address is “Why were Women of Color organizing and protesting?”(You don’t need to answer on this question). POST 1: Title “The Women’s March.” According to the above-mentioned videos address the following: A) Which feminist speaker inspired you the most and why? B) What political issues is she advocating for? Be specific. C) What empowers you about this women’s movement in 2017? D) Why is it important to understand the diversity of women’s experiences by race, class, gender, LGBTQIA status, religion, age, etc.? E) Select an image of the Women’s March of 2017 that you can relate to and discuss the connection. F) Why is organizing important for Women of Color, as well as People of Color in a “Democratic nation?” POST 2: Title “Refugees of a World on Fire.” According to Moraga’s essay “Refugees of a World on fire” in This Bridge Called My Back, discuss the following: 1) What does she mean regarding the concept “Refugees of a world on fire” exactly? Define and provide an example. B) What is the Moraga’s argument about disenfranchised communities including women, immigrants, women of color in a First Word nation, like the U.S.? C). Is this concept still relevant in the 21st century? If so, how? D) Select an image that you feel best illustrates the title “Refugees of a World on Fire” based on Women of Color in the U.S. and discuss it.
