Certified Public Management (CPM) accreditation course

This capstone project is for a Certified Public Management (CPM) accreditation course. As a local government employee, they encourage new managers, like me, to attend this 9-month course. I have to focus on Scheduling Funeral Homes to pick up decedents. As of now many funeral homes show up to morgues unannounced. The attendant releasing could find themselves trying to accommodate 4 removal services at one time. This increases the chance of the wrong decedent being released to a funeral home. The property of the decedent may become mixed up with another decedents property. I would like to have the local government purchase a SQL (sequel) based appointment scheduler that is able to communicate with the current morgue database. Unfortunately, funds are limited. Since January 2020 my office has been scheduling appointments manually allowing each removal service a 45-minute slot. However, this requires manpower because the staff has to answer the phones to schedule the appointment. Even so the benefits of scheduling have been marvelous. As COVID-19 deaths increase I can see this being an added benefit in handling the decedent with dignity but cautiously.
