Buck v Bell Supreme Court Case Paper and Outline I need to edit some thing please help with it as soon as possible in the outline Your outline must contain the following:
1) introduction with a thesis statement
2) For each body paragraph include your primary evidence (direct quote) from the
supreme court decision on Buck v. Bell followed by a brief 1-2 sentence
description of how you intend to use that quote and/or the purpose of the
paragraph based on the direct quote that you have selected. You will likely
have 5-7 body paragraphs.
In order to provide more clarity, here is what you had sent to me with my additional
commentary in green.
Buck v. Bell Case
United States of America decided Bell, 274 U.S. 200 (1927), transcribed by
Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. The Supreme court ruled that a state statute of
enabling obligatory sterilization of the unfit, for example, for the intellectually disabled
individuals, the health and protection of the State. The rule has never been overturned
though it has been repealed. Its intellectual has been challenged by an ensuing Supreme
law court verdict striking down a given law providing for involuntary sterilization of
criminals. (This is plagiarized. It was taken almost entirely verbatim from another
website: https://disabilityjustice.org/right-to-self-determination-freedom-frominvoluntary-sterilization/ ) As you know from the plagiarism quiz, you must provide
citation information and include direct quotes when you are using information from
another source verbatim. Since this is an outline, I am giving you another chance to
rewrite this. If you submit this paragraph again without including citation information, I
will have to give you a 0% on Paper #1. If you have questions on ways to avoid
plagiarism, I can always help you. Furthermore, there is a tutorial that you should have
completed on plagiarism and ways to avoid it on Edpuzzle.)
I.
Introduction (As it stands your paragraph labels suggest that you will
merely summarize the Buck v. Bell case. As it stated in the prompt and the
exercises that you completed, a summary is not an argumentative paper. You may
wish to analyze the prejudices that guided the Supreme Court justices in their
decision-making process.)
II.
Buck v. Bell adjudication (1. include a direct quote from the Buck v. Bell
supreme court decision. 2. Explain how you analyze it and how it will fit in your
paper. )
III.

supreme court decision. 2. Explain how you analyze it and how it will fit in your
paper. )
(You will need at least 2 more paragraphs before the conclusion)
