All you need is attached !!In this module, we learned about the Gnostics, a dualist group that sought spiritual goodness and gnosis to achieve fulfillment. These individuals believed that some secrets in Christianity were kept only for the elect who were ready for such inspiration. Some of these included works such as the Gospel of Mary, which states that Mary Magdalene was taught divine secrets from Jesus before his death. In this activity, in 300-500 words, discuss why you think Gnosticism might have been so popular. You might consider answering questions such as these to help you: What makes secrets so appealing? Why do we want them to be true?
