University of Maryland College Auto Parts Market in Ghana Analysis To complement your prior analysis of the Problem, this week’s interviews should focus on the Solution, with the interviewees being those with insights on the below questions. Your insights and plans in this Solution chapter should also be informed by your primary research and secondary research. The Solution chapter of the business plan to be authored this week should address:
What specifically are you proposing as a Solution to the Problem as previously discussed? Be specific about the benefits and features of your Solution.
Why should stakeholders care about your Solution? Specifically, why would a customer care about your Solution? Why should an investor care? What is the value proposition?
Are there any solutions like this in your target market? Are there comparable solutions in other markets? How did you identify and arrive at your Solution?
What are the technical challenges and risks of your Solution?
What would keep customers from adopting your Solution?
Would your solution be required to unseat an existing solution, or disrupt a current business process?
Be sure to support your analysis and decisions with research and references. References may be included in APA format. For this Solution chapter, a 2 to 3 page single-spaced length is appropriate. A references page may be included as an additional page. Tables, graphics, and related visual tools to efficiently communicate key information is encouraged. Mubarak Kamaru

New Venture Summary
Venture Summary
A normal business process is mostly referred to as a brick and mortar way of doing business, in
my own experience I’ve converted an auto parts industry in Accra, Ghana called “Abosokai”
from a brick and mortar mode of operation to an online market where shops submit their
inventory to my online platform to be sold nationwide.
Auto Parts Market aims to offer a high-quality full range of Auto Parts, Auto Repair Services,
Towing and Car Sales services conveniently, easily and quickly via its e-commerce platform.
Auto Parts Market also plans to build strong vendor relationships with the most service
conscious vendors who are capable of shipping major parts rapidly (on an overnight timeline in
most cases).
We offer services in four primary areas- Auto Spare Parts, Auto Repair Services, Towing
Services and Car Sales. We are also the exclusive distributors of Kroner products in Ghana and
Africa as well as online distributors of Ghana Oil (GOIL) lubricants.
Under our Auto Parts Services, AP Market displays both new and used automobile parts from
our vendor partners on its e-commerce platform, www.apmarketonlinegh.com. Our clients get to
select from a wide range of options the most suitable vehicle part, acquire it online and have it
delivered to them at a premium. The parts are essentially from globally recognized brands
though we strive to make available every known car part. Our process is more convenient, the
products are quality and the prices extremely competitive.
We also offer Automotive Repair Services which involve the recommendation of professional
auto repair expertise to our clients due to our partnerships with several of the best automotive
garages and repair shops. These expert establishments employ specially trained engineers to deal
with all sorts of automobile challenges and repair.
AP Markets also offers our clients the services of the best towing companies. Our Towing
Services involve the recommendation of towing companies which utilize professional towing
methods and resources for hoisting and pulling, and towing wrecked, disabled or stalled
automobiles.
Our clients can also take advantage of our Car Sales Services to acquire new or used vehicles
from the most trusted car dealerships and local vehicle distribution businesses.
I set out to interview 6 individuals to find out what could be the solutions to the major issues

1. Mrs. Donkor
Relevance: customer
Contact source: in person
Mrs. Donkor expressed that she always dreaded going the Abosokai Market due to its busy
nature, she mentioned that she has never paid the right price for any part since there is always a
middle man who finds the parts for her, she claimed that even if she sends someone they still
have to engage a middle man to find the parts to be able to save time. It sometimes costs her as
much as 3 times and is driving her crazy. She finds it hard to navigate certain websites but can
certainly use a user friendly one.
2. Mr. Lenox D
Relevance: Potential customer
Contact: phone
Mr. Lenox is Tech savvy and stated that he is very busy and didn’t have interest in buying a vehicle
because of the stress that comes along with maintaining it, after explaining our business model to him
he seemed intrigued and expressed that he does need a vehicle but always results to uber and other
means because he hasn’t found an easy way of managing the needs that come with owning a vehicle. He
intends to search our website for a vehicle and have us handle all his maintenance needs.
3. Lilian Ashung
Relevance: customer
Contact: in person
I met Ms. Lilian at Abosokai Market literally drenched in sweat and on the verge of tearing up, she was
searching for a little piece of plastic bushing for her vehicle, on explaining our business model to her she
expressed that the last time she needed a pair of bushings, her mechanic charged her twice the price
and put back her cracked ones which he had apparently glued together, this time around she intends to
purchase it herself and be present while it is being fixed. I called the office and placed an order for her
and scheduled for a technician to have it fixed for her by the close of the next day, all in one phone call.
She couldn’t have been more excited.
4. Mr. Komi
Relevance: customer
Contact: phone call
Mr. Komi is a Japanese businessman who lives and works in Ghana, he has trucks that distribute water
to various areas in Accra, on a follow up call he expressed his appreciation for our services saying that he
was planning on investing on his own tow truck since anytime any of his vehicles breaks down which
happens quite frequently due to the bad roads that lead to some of his distribution points. Mr. Komi
said even though there are towing companies within about 15 miles it’s nearly impossible to find their
locations. He said being able to contact customer service to find a near by towing company and
scheduling for immediate towing is continuously savings him time and money.
5. Dana Croffie
Relevance: customer
Contact: email
In a follow up email Dana expressed that this was the first time she hasn’t had to send her vehicle back
after a major repair, she mentioned that her car usually needs to go back to the workshop to tighten
some loose screws or sometimes electrical malfunctioning. With our trusted network of technicians in
Ghana we make sure each vehicle is taken to a technician who specializes in the car model in question.
Most importantly she said she doesn’t know a lot about cars or where to get parts for them.
6. Kwaku Duah

Kwaku and his Dad run a retail store at Abosokai and their store is one of the stores in our network,
Kweku and his Dad now save on travelling to import parts from china and Europe, He mentioned that
before he started wholesaling Kroner parts from us(Auto Parts Market gh) he had to travel at least 2 to 3
times a year to purchase and import spare parts which cost the company an lot of money and time. Now
he makes a list of products and then we ship them in and his father thinks it’s very convenient.
