Need help with my English question – I’m studying for my class.

1. First review instructor feedback for your S & R #1 and study the Sample S & R #1 Highlighted Revisions, Error Log, & Reflection.
2. Then create an Error Log listing 3 errors, corrections, and explanations you want to work on the most this semester, as well as a Reflection for two (2) things done well, and two (2) things you need to work on to more rapidly improve your writing skills.
3. Use the Sample S & R Highlighted Revision, Error Log, and Reflection as model.
4. Submit Error Log & Reflection to Canvas as a Word Doc.

• S & R #1 Highlighted Revisions Due at 2 p.m. Thurs. 9/3 (Resubmit as “S & R #1 9-3-20” in Week 2 Module — Up to 2 Letter Grades Higher)

1. After focusing on 3 specific errors for your Error Log, make more complete S & R revisions based on instructor feedback for organization, content, language use, quote integration, etc.
2. Highlight revision changes in yellow in the revised S & R #1.
3. Proofread out loud 4 times to prevent new errors and to make your revisions as polished as possible.
4. Then submit your revised S & R #1 for up to 2 letter grades higher (Go into the original Week 2 Module location and resubmit this as “S & R #1 9-3-20” so I know this is the new one).

• • • Noticing what we are doing well and what we need to work on is an important step in the writing process.
    • If you can get into the habit of noticing things you tend to do such as comma splices and you start fixing these, this will greatly improve your writing and make your ideas flow much more smoothly for your readers so they can focus more on your ideas.
    • If you can also notice things you are doing well and continue to do these things, such as having vivid anecdotal and data example quotes to illustrate your points, this will help you to continue to have strong support in your papers.
    • While you will make all of the recommended changes based on instructor feedback to receive up to 2 letter grades higher for your revised S & R #1, for your Error Log, you will focus down on 3 specific errors you are making, which if you can start to notice and fix this semester will significantly improve your writing.
    • After reviewing instructor feedback for your S & R #1, complete an Error Log and Reflection which includes the following:

I. Choose Three (3) Errors You Want to Work on the Most to More Rapidly Improve Your Writing, and for Each One List:

1) The original error

2) The correction

3) An explanation for how you fixed this

II. Then Write an Overall Reflection for the S & R #1 Which Includes:

1) Two (2) things done well

2) Two (2) things you need to work on to more rapidly improve your writing skills this semester.

After submitting the Error Log & Reflection, don’t forget to make the complete S & R #1 Highlighted Revisions for organization, content, language use, MLA formatting, etc. and resubmit this in our Week 2 Module as “S & R #1 9-3-20” so you can also earn up to 2 letters grades higher for S & R #1.
