University of Missouri Kansas City Chhapaak Deepika Movie Annotated Bibliography Try to find 12 sources for this topic specificly ( Use MLA format for sources)here is the movie name: CHHAPAAK ( indian movie) let me know If you have any questions pleaseand here is some info about the movie :We are in the 21st century and Indian women are still living a life of persecution by the authoritarian male community, as human rights reports revealed that violence is increasing against women in frightening proportions year after year and honor killings often increase due to tribal traditions in India , although these crimes are increasing in rural areas, there have been incidents that occurred in a public place in the city. That’s why I want to analyse “ Chhapaak” movie , which is a movie about a beautiful girl named Malti, who has been attacked with acid that has deformed her face. This character, which will appear in the film, is adapted from the life story of a girl named Laxmi Agarwal. Who lived a painful life after being exposed at the age of 16 years, to an acid attack, which burned her face completely and maimedI chose your topic because women in this part of the world were severely persecuted and their rights were denied until the end of the nineteenth century, forcing them to remain in their home and submit to a harsh regime. Most of the time, Indian women live under force majeure that compels them to give up many dreams and aspirations that have become in other countries normal and accessible matters, such as the right to education, work, expressing opinion and protecting their rights, and with the development witnessed by the Indian reality, but the wheel of progress does not include women and it’s surrounded by customs .Women have been fighting for decades for their basic rights in India , where violence affecting women is “widespread and unresolved”, according to the National Human Rights Commission. The Indian society lives in large part in purely masculine system that allows the suppression of the woman who tries to be liberated by choosing her husband without being accepted by the family or working outside the home.Painful stories a bout The suffering of Indian women, but what shocked me the most and strikes me that husbands often acid their wives in order to preserve the honor of the family. They are distorting their faces, which they believe in dishonor the family. Sometimes, this is a punishment for a woman just because she refuses to marry the man who proposes to her .The conclusions that I am working towards is trying to reach the source and causes of this crime. These crimes are often of different motives, and some observers say in most cases women are killed for inheritance reasons. Other observers have said that the aim of these inhumane acts is to exclude women from education and social, economic and political life by creating an atmosphere of terror, which has made matters more difficult for women in India. Therefore, it appears that the series of criminal violations against Indian women will continue to be , the most basic rights taken away, and these violations remain natural practices by men against women in the country in which women are the first victims of human rights violations. And finally I would like to ask If anyone would like suggest a reference that can help me write more about this cultural matter .
