What was your first thought that the short story “A Good Man is Hard to Find” would be about?
Where did the problem begin in the story and because of tradition, could it have been different in this story?

In “Young Goodman Brown,” “A Rose for Emily,” and “A Good Man is Hard to Find” the community and the towns play a major impact in their lives and what transpires. Explain each story and how this is true and what impact the community or town has.
After reading both selections, answer ONE of the following:
“The Yellow Wallpaper” stirs many emotions for readers because the woman is very conflicted. Do you feel that she goes crazy, or does she escape and/or break through it?
“Young Goodman Brown” is a man that is very conflicted as well. Do you think this story was a dream, or did it really happen?
You will need to use MLA format, cite your reference and have a Works Cited, make a creative title (which you do not punctuate), and it should be at least 100 words. You will respond to at least ONE other person’s response.
I am attaching an example of what I am looking for, although it is not one of the topics above because I would not want to give any ideas as I am looking to see what each of you think. You will need to complete it in a word document and copy and paste it into the place. Use WORD to do this as there is a way to set up papers for MLA format. When you open a new document, you will add a page number and put your name in front of the page number flush right. As you write the paper and insert a quotation, you will manage your sources which is at the topic of the screen on a tab (If you use a MAC, it is under document elements.).
After reading the short stories, make a comment about the short stories.
After Reading the three short stories, go to Discussion Board and make a comment about the short stories: How is “the Misfit” and Young Goodman Brown similar and different? or How is Emily and “the woman” similar and different? Support your response by giving textual evidence and use MLA formatting. Make sure you respond to at least one other classmate.
Your initial should be at least 100 words and written grammatically correct! I did not take off points last week, but there will be deductions for the rest of the term.
