Here was my rationale for Round 1 with Criminal Hacking and DDOS. I wanted you to see specifically

Antivirus: The Antivirus Policy for a Telecommunication Company is the roadmap for protecting
company data. Allocate budget to establish and maintain this policy shows how reliable company
investments for consumers data. The policy should address how and what should the company do to
protect also the Financial and customer Personally Identifiable Information (PII) data on their systems.
Backup for Telecommunication Company is important because of the types of data for this business.
Backups is necessary for keeping customer information as well as the company’s financial information.
Having a strong backup in place for unforeseen events such as Software and Hardware failures and
human error that could cause telecom co to go down. Telecom Co backup should segmented on data.
Segmentation should be on the financial data and with Customer information. RAID 6 should be used for
the large amount of data Telecom Co and to have redundancy if a drive fails. The company’s backup
operations can be done remotely without the company incurring many expenses.
Breach Notification Policy: The breach notification policy is significant to help the consumers to know
about the company’s business history. Having the policy could affect consumers to make decisions
based of the company from the information in the policy. Warning consumers will help customers to
make appropriate decisions about their business with the company. According to the Security Breach
Notification Law companies must notify the consumer if the breach involves their personal identification
information
Information Privacy Policy: Information Privacy Policy helps the company to safeguard critical
information. Information Privacy Policy is for to improve customer service, protect transaction process,
and protect consumer personal identification. Policy should explain what information is being collected
and how that information is being used. Policy should address how data is going to be protected from
integrity at the machine level and should be a maximum level. Availability and Integrity of data from
point A to point B should be included. The Financial and who are the customer and how much customers
paying for data should be the main focus for Tel Companies to protect privacy.
Information Sharing: Information sharing is a critical aspect of a telecommunication company like
Avistel. Telecommunication Company interfacing with other telecommunication companies about
sharing information that could help them to learn how to solve challenges. The company should come
up with the means and s of sharing and collaborating amongst other telecommunication companies.
Telecommunication Company should do full disclosure on attacks and non-crisis information sharing
with another Telecommunication company to learn and understand where are vulnerabilities and how
to mitigate. The goal for information sharing is to learn and share the impact the attack had to the
companies, learn new things, and identified lesson learned. To learn for each other the types of attacks
hackers are implementing and collaborate what defenses worked and doesn’t work.
Information Sharing Policy: Information Sharing Policy goal is identify how information will be share
with the outside entities. The policy states the penalties of violating company rules and law.
Information Sharing Policy helps the company control the rest of its information. Share w/Intelligence
Services on how might be able to see indicators or knowledge of the company from other
Telecommunication Company. External sharing – gives circumstance of problem to Infagard because

system development testing to be upfront to avoid any nuances that may affect total optimum
operation performance. Systems Development Testing is important upfront before the upgrades,
