Annotations for the CP

Description

Hi this assignment would require you to finish a annotated bibliography for a larger project (Context Project). This project is wrapped around climate justice and my topic for this project is Wild Fires in California and how they affect the air quality and the health of residents nearby. So please find 3 sources that have direct connections to my topic (climate justice of wildfires in California), could be popular or scholarly sources, and annotate them. Below are detail instructions the professor gave. FYI, I will put the a sample annotated bibliography and the prompt of the Context Project in the files section. Instructions are below: Craft your Citations and Annotations  Follow the steps below to select and evaluate sources for your Annotated Bibliography: First, put together the MLA citations for your three sources (this should be an entry for the works cited page).  Then, annotate your three selected sources. Follow the guidelines below. Your paragraph-long annotation should aim to include the following (use your judgment to determine the order): ·       provide a brief account of the author’s profession (e.g., “Journalist Sam Lebovic argues that…”) and/or particular area of focus (e.g., “In his capacity as Legal Director of the ACLU, David Cole argues that…”) Note: if you are evaluating a scholarly source, such as a peer-reviewed article, make sure you identify the discipline of the scholar(s). Are they working within the discipline of Economics, Psychology, Mechanical Engineering,, Earth Systems Science, and so on? ·       identify the genre of the source. Is it an op-ed, a news article, a scholarly article, a government report, a blog entry, or something else? (Note, just saying that the source is an “article” does not fully describe the genre. What kind of article is it exactly? A magazine article, an academic article, an opinion article, etc.?) ·       summarize the author’s main argument, point, or findings ·       describe the key pieces of evidence the author uses to advance his or her claims ·       describe the purpose of the article/source and how that purpose connects to your project You can take text directly from your annotations an insert them into your draft. You’re encouraged to use key phrases from the source in your annotations, but make sure you’re integrating those quotations; do not quote entire sentences). Don’t forget to also place the page number in the parenthetical citation, when available.
