Students are required to write a short essay to illustrate how one or more business strategy theories and concepts covered in the course can be used to understand a current business issue reported in any news article of their choice on or after 1st January 2019. Submission should include both the news article (either re-typed or a clear scanned copy) and the Essay. The length of the Essay should be between 1000 and 1200 words (excluding list of references). Font: 12pt Times New Roman for the main text, 10pt for footnotes; single spacing. There is no limit on the length of the news article (a) Summarize the main points of the article in your own words (what the article is all about). (b) Analyse the article. Here you are required to critique the article by analysing the evidence given by the author of the article. You should also need to highlight the flaws in the work and support where it needs to be. Some information on this is written as footnote in the “marking rubric”. When writing your analysis /critique you can rely on other sources to back up your claim.
