Part of the responsibility of research is sharing. You have developed a PICOT question and you have researched the literature for evidence-based answers to your question about your practice. Now you must share the information you have learned with your peers as well as the people on the team where you work. Below are directions for the construction of the flyer. It is an informative and colorful way to share your research. Submit your flyer here for your peers to give you feedback on the readability and understandability of your flyer. Use their feedback to correct your flyer before submitting it for a grade.

Educational Flyer

The purpose of the educational flyer is to inform staff members of your unit about a clinical practice update or other contemporary issues associated with clinical practice. The flyer will advertise a presentation of the information you learned as a result of the research you performed to answer the PICOT question you developed OR the flyer can provide the attendees of the update with a summary of the information covered during the presentation. The flyer will either offer information to staff in an interesting colorful format containing information about the time, place, and length of the presentation as well as specific staff members that should attend (PCAs, RNs, Team leaders, etc) OR a summary of the information included in the presentation that attendees may take for review after the presentation. The flyer should be 2 pages in length and submitted as an assignment as posted in this discussion forum for peers to review and comment on the flyer. Use APA formatting and include in-text citations and at least 4 references no older than 5 years. Please refer to the rubric for more details.

You are not required to have a minimum number of words in any of the posts for this discussion. The words on your flyer will be sufficient for the initial post. Your responses to your peers should give constructive feedback to your peers to help improve his or her flyer before submitting it for a grade.

Directions: Create a two-page educational flyer to educate colleagues on the information obtained from the research performed to answer the PICOT question. The flyer will be colorful and showcase some of the ideas obtained from the review of research articles on the clinical practice topic.

The target audience for the flyer is staff providing care at the bedside or staff in your practice setting that will benefit from the information provided in the presentation. APA formatting for references is required. Please see the rubric for the flyer and the description of the flyer assignment above for specific details about the flyer.

Based on the feedback you receive from your colleagues you can make changes on the flyer and submit the assignment for grading by the due date.
