Humans Are Always Selfish

You are required to post a 500 words response in the Reading Forum. This will allow you to delve deeper into the text. Look at the study questions in your textbook and let them guide you through the reading. As always, I am not asking you to understand the text at your first read, but to offer a thoughtful analysis of the reading. Once this is completed, I will post general comments on the assigned text, a sort of transcript of what my lecture would be.
In your post, you should not quote from the text or paraphrase. You are asked to explain aspects of the text. Adequate explanations are explanations that show that you have read and understood the text, which includes the author’s argument, and which would allow someone who had not read the text to understand what the author is doing in the text. Authors are never simply stating beliefs. They are always involved in solving some sort of problem and are always involved in some sort of controversy with another person or position. The nature of the problem or controversy should be made clear in your presentation. Inadequate responses to the writing assignment show little or no attempt to understand the text. Posts that not only are inadequate, but also are not on topic and do not meet the 500 words requirement will be given a zero. Failure to post will result in a zero.
Do not look for outside sources. Do not copy or paraphrase the text. This has to be your original work.
