cohort study for a Disease Control Prevention

Imagine you have received a major grant from the federal government to conduct a cohort study for your Disease Control Prevention Topic – what would your study look like?  For example, what type of cohort study would you do?  And what are some issues would you anticipate in your study that you would need to watch out for?

Imagine you are a epidemiological researcher who is an expert in your Disease Control Strategy Project topic, and you have been asked to lead an experimental study of your topic (Ebola Virus).  Would such a study design be appropriate for your topic?  If so, why, and what might this study look like?  Of not, why not, and what would be a preferable study design instead?
