This is an individual assignment
You are required to select a Tourism Destination of your choice. The chosen
destination could be a continent, country, city or Town.
You should analyse /explain the destination life cycle, the marketing tools used to
promote the destination and what are the sustainable practices the management
have done to improve tourism industry in the selected destination.
Word limit: 2000
Note: Your assignment must be a discussion and analysis of destination life cycle,
Marketing mix and sustainable management. The assignment should be supported
with the relevant academic literature.
1. Introduction: which clearly states what your assignment is about and include its
relevance to Destination Management Organization functions.
2. Main body: which includes a detailed analysis of the assignment and explains
the specific destination management organization functions practices in
developing the tourism industry. You must use the relevant literature.
3. Conclusion: which states clearly how this assignment has helped you to
understand the role of Destination Management organization in developing the
destination.
4. Reference list: which includes information of all books, articles and journals
referred on business environment.
Note: Care should be taken towards effective layout, headings and subheadings in
the report along with attention for grammar and punctuation. Your report should
not be more than 2000 words in length.

General Instructions:
1. The word limit does not include the title page, tables, diagrams and references.
10 to 15 % lower or higher from the prescribed word limit is acceptable. If you
work doesn’t follow the word limit, it will be returned and will be considered as a
resubmission (capped at 40%).
2. Use the prescribed format: font – Arial or Calibri, font size 12 and 1.5 spacing;
margins – left 1.25, top, bottom and right: 1.0
3. You are required to use academic references to support your work. (Minimum
6).
4. Harvard referencing must be used.
5. Assignment should be submitted through Moodle on the 4th of June 2020)
